Departure: 12:30 pm – Sahastradhara Helipad, Dehradun
Arrival: 01:15 pm – Kedarnath Helipad (changeover of helicopter at Sersi Helipad)
Due to heavy helicopter traffic at Kedarnath, the charter helicopter may not get permission to fly directly, and the journey may have to continue via shuttle operators. Helicopter flying starts at 12:30 pm, and all passengers for the Do Dham Yatra are advised to positively leave their hotel by 11:30 am. After a short briefing, passengers will board their helicopters for the onward journey. Our pilots are specially trained to give exciting commentary about the mesmerizing views of the snow-clad Himalayan peaks and all the important sites along the helicopter route. Some pilots also narrate mythological stories about the Do Dham Yatra during the ride.
We will land at Sersi Helipad in the Kedar Valley, which serves as our base point for Kedarnath. From Sersi, passengers will be transferred to Kedarnath by helicopter shuttle. Upon arrival at the Kedarnath Helipad, our dedicated team will assist you with check-in to your hotel at Kedarnath. Later, all passengers will be taken for Special Darshan at the Kedarnath Temple. Our teams will guide passengers on the appropriate time for darshan depending on the crowd situation at the temple.
The distance from the helipad to Kedarnath Temple is about 500 meters. The temple is located at an altitude of 11,500 feet, and it is advised to walk slowly at Kedarnath. It normally takes around 15–20 minutes for an average person to walk from the helipad to the temple.
Later in the day, everyone must visit the renovated Shankaracharya Samadhi, which has now been converted into a Shankaracharya Memorial. More adventurous visitors can also climb to Bhairon Mandir, which involves an approximately 500–600 meter steep trek from the temple. Kedarnath Temple is currently witnessing a very large number of visitors.
Special Puja: In the evening, our teams will organize Rudrabhishek/Special Puja, which takes place at the temple throughout the night. Our teams will discuss the schedule with you and accordingly arrange the Rudrabhishek inside the temple in coordination with the temple committee. Visitors should expect a waiting time of 30–45 minutes outside the temple before the Special Puja.
