The excitement begins with your arrival in Dehradun, where our teams will arrange pickup from Dehradun Airport or Railway Station. Our Chardham Yatra starts in the lap of luxury, surrounded by nature. Nestled in the foothills of the Queen of Hills, Mussoorie, amidst the picturesque Malsi forest and majestic Himalayan range, lies the sprawling campus of Hotel Hyatt Regency, Dehradun, the first 5-star deluxe hotel in Dehradun. Our journey for the Chardham Yatra starts here and makes the yatra filled with everlasting memories. Passengers can relax in the hotel on Day 0 or plan any local sightseeing on their own. Our teams will meet all passengers at 7:30 pm in the hotel lobby and brief them about the travel plans.
IMPORTANT: All passengers must note that only 5 kg baggage is allowed per passenger in the helicopter. Excess baggage will not be allowed onboard. Heritage Aviation will provide small duffle bags for each passenger in which the luggage will have to be shifted. No other bags or suitcases will be permitted onboard.

Helicopter flying starts early in the morning at 5:30 am. All passengers for Package 1 are advised to positively leave their hotel by 5:00 am. After a short briefing, passengers will board their helicopters for the onward journey. Our pilots are specially trained to provide exciting commentary about the mesmerizing views of snow-clad Himalayan peaks and all the important sites along the helicopter route. Some of them will also narrate mythological stories about the Chardham Yatra during the helicopter ride.
Kharsali is a small and beautiful village from where the trek to Yamunotri Temple begins. This village is located at an altitude of 8,500 feet. After disembarking from the helicopter, passengers will be taken to the nearby Hotel Yamunakriti for check-in, where a hot breakfast will be served.
After breakfast, passengers will be provided with a palki, carried by four persons, which will take them to the temple. The palki journey takes around 3 hours onward and nearly 2 hours on return. Our tour guide will escort the passengers at the temple for darshan.
All passengers are advised to visit the nearby Shani Temple in the evening. According to legend, God Shani is the son of Surya (Sun) and the brother of Goddess Yamuna, and this temple is believed to be the first and oldest Shani Temple in the world. Local people believe that the temple deity regularly demonstrates divine powers to devotees.
Hotel: Kharsali is a small and remote village. Hotel quality here is basic, but we ensure that the rooms and linen are very clean. The food is pure and homely, and all essential amenities are available in the room.

A hidden jewel near Gangotri Dham, Harsil is a serene Himalayan hamlet nestled on the banks of the River Bhagirathi at an altitude of 8,500 feet and surrounded by snow-clad mountains, pine forests, and apple orchards. Often referred to as the Mini Switzerland of India, time seems to have stopped at this poetic hill station dotted with traditional houses and ancient temples. Some parts of the famous Raj Kapoor movie Ram Teri Ganga Maili were shot in Harsil.
Our teams will receive passengers at the Harsil Helipad and take them either directly to the temple or to the hotel as per the passengers’ preference. The hotel in Harsil is located 12 km from the helipad, while the temple is approximately 22 km away and takes nearly 1 hour by road. There is also a walk of around 400 meters from the parking area to Gangotri Temple. Our team will escort the passengers for temple darshan. Passengers are advised to return to the hotel by lunchtime and relax amidst the natural surroundings.
According to local legend, Harsil got its name from the rivers Bhagirathi and Jalandhari, which once had an argument over their significance. Lord Vishnu, also known as Hari, was asked to intervene. He transformed himself into a great stone, a shila, and absorbed their anger. Even today, after Hari-shila or Harsil, the waters of the two rivers are said to have become less turbulent.
Guests must visit the ancient Lord Vishnu Temple and Hari Shila, both located within walking distance from the resort. In the evening, guests can enjoy a bonfire by the riverside at the resort. The experience of staying at this small resort is simply mesmerizing because of its beautiful surroundings and amazing location. Guests may also visit the nearby Bhutia Village.
Hotel: Himalayan Nature Resort is a small and beautiful resort nestled amidst apple orchards and between the Bhagirathi and Jalandhari rivers. The rooms are very comfortable, and the best part is the breathtaking view of the snow-clad peaks visible from the resort.

Due to heavy helicopter traffic at Kedarnath, the charter helicopter may not get permission to fly directly, and the journey may continue via shuttle operators. The helicopter ride from Harsil to Kedarnath offers some of the most enchanting views of the yatra. Passengers can witness majestic Himalayan peaks such as Shivling, Thalaysagar, Bhrigupanth, Meru, Sumeru, and Kedar Dome.
We will land at Sersi Helipad in the Kedar Valley, which serves as our base point for Kedarnath. You will arrive at one of the most exciting accommodations of the trip, The Tailwind Resort, Sersi, which is managed by the Heritage Aviation team. The resort offers high-end exclusive rooms surrounded by lush green forests and mountains.
We generally allocate around 3 hours at Kedarnath for darshan. Our teams at Kedarnath will arrange special darshan inside the temple. The distance from the helipad to Kedarnath Temple is approximately 500 meters, and the temple is situated at an altitude of 11,500 feet. Passengers are advised to walk slowly due to the altitude. It usually takes 15–20 minutes for an average person to walk from the helipad to the temple. After darshan, passengers will return to Sersi Helipad for an overnight stay around lunchtime.
After lunch at around 3 pm, all passengers will be taken for darshan at the ancient Triyuginarayan Temple. The temple is located 18 km from Sersi Helipad and takes approximately 45 minutes one way by car. It is believed that Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati were married at this temple. Even today, many people from across the country visit this sacred place to have their marriage ceremonies performed here.

One gets a very close view of the mighty Chaukhamba Peak shortly after taking off for Badrinath. Chaukhamba is one of the most attractive peaks of Garhwal and the highest and finest peak on our route. Passengers will also get the opportunity for aerial darshan of the famous Tungnath Temple, the highest Lord Shiva temple on earth and one of the main temples of the Panch Kedar circuit.
If the weather remains clear, passengers may also witness the majestic Nanda Devi Peak near Joshimath, the second-highest peak in India and worshipped as the protector of the Himalayas by the people of Uttarakhand.
Badrinath is the main Dham in the Chardham Yatra. Located at an altitude of 10,000 feet on the banks of the River Alaknanda and amidst the Nar and Narayan Parvat ranges, this Lord Vishnu temple was established by Adi Guru Shankaracharya in the 8th century. Badrinath is a small picturesque town. After landing, passengers will proceed for check-in at Hotel Sarovar Portico. The distance from the helipad to the hotel is approximately 1 km. Later, proceed for a day trip to Mana Village. Darshan will be conducted in the evening around 6 pm along with the Sandhya Arti.
A visit to Mana Village is a must for every passenger. Mana is an ancient village with immense mythological significance. It is believed that Maharishi Ved Vyas composed the epic Mahabharata with the help of Lord Ganesha in a small cave known as Vyas Cave or Vyas Gufa in Mana Village. It is also believed that the Pandavas returned to heaven through Mana Village after the Mahabharata.
We advise everyone to visit Mana Village in the afternoon. It is located approximately 3 km from the hotel.
Bhim Pul: After the Mahabharata war, the Pandavas are believed to have passed through Mana Village on their journey to Heaven. After a 15-minute walk inside the village, visitors reach a small stone bridge known as Bhim Pul. According to mythology, when Draupadi was unable to cross the river, Bhim lifted a huge stone and placed it across the river as a bridge for her. Visitors are often amazed to see that this bridge stands firmly without any support.

During the ceremony, the shringar of the deity is changed according to ancient traditions, making it a rare and divine experience to witness.
We suggest that all passengers have an early dinner and sleep early in order to wake up between 2:30 am and 3:00 am for the Mahabhishek Puja. Our teams will pick up interested guests from the hotel around 3:30 am and escort them to the temple to attend the puja. After the puja, guests will return to the hotel, have breakfast, and prepare for the return journey.
Upon reaching Dehradun, our teams will arrange your drop to the Airport or Railway Station for your onward journey. Kindly book your return flight or train tickets after 17:30 hrs.

Guidelines for Passengers
1. ONLY 5KG luggage per person is permitted
2. Passengers should carry only handbags provided by Heritage Aviation as suitcases cannot be kept in the helicopter.
3. All temples in Chardham are located in high altitude areas. Passengers having breathing problems should take advise from doctor before undertaking this yatra.
4. Passangers are advised to book evening flights/Trains departing after 5 PM,while returning back from Dehradun as due to weather/Operational reasons there might be delay in reaching back Badrinath to Dehradun.
5. Although day temperatures at these locations are normal but it becomes cold in the night and so passengers must carry wollen clothes with them.
6. The altitude of Kedarnath temple is 11500 Feet and Badrinath temple is 10000 Feet. Sometimes passengers may experience lack of oxygen specially at Kedarnath, hence they are advised to walk slowly. Portable oxygen bottles are available at all stations on requirement basis.
7. Kedarnath helipad to temple distance is nearly 500 meters. Pithu (Shoulder Carriage) is available on payment basis.
8. All passengers coming by helicopters are permitted to do Special darshans inside the temple however sometimes during the heavy rush period administration does not allow passengers to go inside sanctum sanctorum for puja and darshans are done from a little distance.
9. Please don’t carry Dangerous goods on board the Helicopters. In case of any doubt regarding any item, please clarify with our team in advance.
