Upon arrival at Phnom Penh International Airport, you’ll go through the immigration process (visa on arrival is available or can be obtained in advance via www.evisa.gov.kh). After collecting your luggage, proceed to the exit gate where our driver (without a guide) will be waiting for you. You’ll be transferred to your hotel, approximately 45 minutes away, for check-in (check-in time is at 2:00 PM). Take some time to freshen up and relax at the hotel. Overnight in Phnom Penh.

 After breakfast, start your exploration with a visit to the Royal Palace, a magnificent Khmer-style complex built in 1866 by the ancestors of King Norodom. Adjacent to the palace, visit the Silver Pagoda, home to the Emerald Buddha and various statues crafted from diamond, emerald, gold, and silver. Continue to the National Museum, an architectural masterpiece dating back to 1917, showcasing over 5,000 ancient Khmer artifacts made from sandstone, bronze, silver, and wood. Next, visit the Independence Monument, erected in 1954 to commemorate Cambodia’s independence from French colonial rule. Learn about Cambodia's darker past with a visit to the Toul Sleng Genocide Museum (S21), a former school that was transformed into a prison and torture center during the Khmer Rouge regime. Then, head to Phsar Thmey (Central Market), a 1937 landmark built in the shape of a dome with sprawling wings filled with a variety of goods, from jewelry to local produce. Finally, visit Wat Phnom, a Buddhist temple perched on a hill that gives Phnom Penh its name. The temple holds historical significance and is a popular spot for locals to pray for good fortune or enjoy the scenic views at sunset. Overnight in Phnom Penh.

 After breakfast, begin your exploration of Angkor, starting with the stunning Angkor Thom, a walled city and masterpiece of King Jayavarman VII. At the heart of Angkor Thom, visit Bayon Temple, known for its 54 towers adorned with smiling faces of the Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara. Next, visit the Terrace of the Leper King and Terrace of Elephants, once used by the king to oversee parades and public events. Continue to Baphuon, an imposing temple dating back to the 11th century, known for its beautiful architecture and intricate carvings. Next, head to Ta Prohm, a hauntingly beautiful temple that has been overtaken by the jungle, with massive tree roots entwined around the stone structures. Finally, visit Angkor Wat, the largest religious monument in the world, a symbol of Cambodia and a testament to the genius of ancient Khmer architecture. Overnight in Siem Reap.

 Enjoy a relaxing boat ride on Tonle Sap Lake, the largest freshwater lake in Southeast Asia. Here, you will visit the floating village, where people live in houses that float on the lake, moving with the changing water levels. You’ll also visit Artisans d’Angkor, an organization dedicated to preserving ancient Khmer arts and crafts while providing employment opportunities for rural artisans.
